2008..It has been almost 2 years since Fallout 3. Given a 9.2 rating by
IGN.com, it still competed with the mega successful COD: Modern Warfare, released a month later. We think that this game will do equally well if not better that its predecessor Fallout 3.
First Shooter games have the best sales, motivating their manufacturers to out perform and out succeed the competition.
Back to Fallout New Vegas , the Release dates seem all over the place with October 19th, 2010 (US), October 22nd, 2010 (EU) & November 4th, 2010 (JP) ..Poor chaps!
Background: The game is set in a post-apocalyptic,retro-futuristic Las Vegas following the Great Wat (aka nuclear war) between the US, China and the other countries, a conventional that occurred on October 23, 2077 . It lasted less than 2-hours despite causing immense damage and destruction. Before the Great War were the Resource Wars, during which the United Nations disbanded, a plague rendered the United States paranoid, and good ol' Canada was annexed. The city of New Vegas itself, didn't get hit as much as other districts, and most buildings were left intact. The Hoover Dam now supplies all the free electricity and water to those who hold reign over it.
Story
Fallout: New Vegas takes place in 2280, 3-years after the events of
Fallout 3 and 39-years after
Fallout 2. The New California Republic plays a major part in the story in a three way struggle between the Caesar's Legion
slavers and the local New Vegas populace.
Moving on...('nough with the time line already !!)
